ELAHISTON ORPHANAGE AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION was founded in February 2019 by Musisi Gerald who grew up in a poor and needy family, became an orphan, an abandoned child. Pastor Nangoli Jimmy, known as Pastor Sureman, was his guide through this time.
At its founding, Elahiston had 13 children, 6 boys and 7 girls. As of now we have a total of 46 needy orphans and village children. We hope to help more children in the future through this program.
ELAHISTON's mission is to teach this generation to fear andserve God.
The vision for ELAHISTON is to be a channel of hope to helpless children, by expressing the love of God to them, making a warm environment to restore hope, and to produce young responsible citizens.
Our emphasis is on being a Christ-centered, loving home to all the children as we raise them.
ELAHISTON's mission is to teach this generation to fear andserve God.
We focus on promoting education, feeding and clothing needy children, and providing health and economic development.
The people involved in the ELAHISTON ORGANIZATION strive to:
1. Love every person for excellence.
2. Help to restore hope in the lives of African needy children.
3. Be a responsible citizen in the community.
4. Respect the equality of all people.
5.Create a warm environment and good education for the children.
6. Be a mother to the motherless and a father to the fatherless.
ELAHISTON ORGANIZATION members strive to
1. Produce psychosocial therapy within self-help groups and self-reliant skills. The children are taught how to relate with others, and how to deal with their emotions at all times of life.
2. Build capacities of poor, vulnerable families to be able to respond to socio-economic challenges.
3. Provide quality education to the poor and needy children of Africa, and to provide formal education/vocational skills training for them.
4. Restore hope to the hopeless in the local community. We look forward to having our own schools, which will be helping our children grow Spiritually as they and their families and community are exposed to the love and redeeming Gospel of Jesus Christ.
5. Feed the needy children, transforming them into people that will grow the community.

Uganda has a high unemployment rate with many young adults unemployed.
ELAHISTON plans to combat this with an economic development initiative that will tap into people’s creativity and potential by opening the ELAHISTON TRAINING CENTER.
THE CENTER will use businesspeople, Artisans and skilled laborers to help train Ugandans of all ages, educational backgrounds, and economic status, including but not limited to mechanics, builders, carpenters, joiners, woodworks, cooks, clothiers, cosmeticians and more.
We will also developed the merchandising of our products with local and international vendors.
Access to quality health services has been pinpointed as a challenge that the people of community face. Mirembe Village has no Medical Center and Kangulumira Sub-county has one hospital which is far from our community. It accommodates many patients on a daily basis, making for long waits for service.
Elahiston plans to build a Medical Center that will
serve our community and the surrounding area. The
intention of the Center is to provide immediate health
care, offering a patient-centered traditional and
holistic approach as well. The Center shall
emphasizevalues such as respect and dignity, quality of
care, integrity and accountability, good stewardship and
commitment, teamwork, and compassion as Jesus instructs
us, and to Glorify God in all we do.
The Medical Center will also reach out to other remote
village leaders to organize Health Events, where social
workers and Health Practitioners will provide free
services including malaria and HIV testing, dental check
ups and extractions, prenatal care, nutrition screening,
vaccinations, and counseling.
